Review of A Dog's Breakfast (2007) by Kellie H — 23 Jun 2009
This movie a such a sweet and caring tear jerker about a boy and his dog... Oh wait, that was Old Yeller..
What are we talking about again?
Oh yeah, A DOG'S BREAKFAST...
The name of the movie, "A DOG'S BREAKFAST", had two meanings. In the great and wonderful movie, Mars, the wonder dog and highly under rated actor(Hey Academy, where is his Oscar nomination?), eats breakfast, really good breakfast, in fact he eats all through the movie.
But the title "A DOG'S BREAKFAST" represents Mars' owner, Patrick's (Played brilliantly by David Hewlett (He wants an award too, Academy)) situation through the movie. Meaning a mess!
Patrick is slightly.... okay, majorly neurotic, Set in his ways everything in it's place or on e-bay. When his sister Marilyn, (played by Hewlett's real life sister Kate who wouldn't mind an Oscar either) comes to visit the halarity takes off with a bang, of a cricket bat, to Marilyn's new fiance's head (played by Paul McGillion).
This movie has all the elements of any prefect movie... love.. loss.. suspence... murder... cross dressing... fuzzy puppies... karate... Aliens(and I don't mean Americans in Canada)... AND blow up dolls, what more can you ask for?
This movie is a wonderful way to spend an evening and make sure you watch the extras on the DVD.
So go out and get a copy today.
NOW...!
Are you still here?
Get.... out......!
GO~!
