It had the potential to be great commentary on "normal" sexuality, but the script is too messy, and the direction is awful. But it's a fun, juvenile movie and probably shouldn't be treated as serious art.
.. unless, of course, John Waters is a genius, and way ahead of us normal humans... which he may be.
