Review of A Dirty Carnival (2006) by Justin L — 27 May 2008
Brutal, intriguing Korean crime film. Asian cinema is really excelling in gangster films lately, especially Korean and Chinese cinema. This film is one of the more intense that I've seen. Nearly all of the violence in the film is commited with baseball bats or knives, very rarely do we see guns in the film at all and this greatly sets it apart from most films in the genre.
It also has some of the more unique characters I've seen in a crime film, asian or from any other country.
