Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Alex L — 26 Mar 2012
Intellectually stimulating. Watching Viggo, Fassbender, and Cassel work together is a privilege. Cronenberg's meticulously quiet direction of the film was special. He's a gifted filmmaker that has shown time and time again, his ability to tell stories of every genre and emotional magnitude, with ease and expertise that's unmatched.
This film isn't for everyone and I believe you have to truly be into the subject matter, in order to appreciate it. Though, if you're willing to go on the journey it's offering, it's essentially gratifying.
