Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Peter B — 26 Jun 2012
Lacking the usual thrills and visceral body horror of Cronenberg's classics (The Fly, Scanners, Videodrome etc), nevertheless this contains very good performances from the cast, in particular the omnipresent Michael Fassbinder as Carl Jung.
Viggo Mortensen is solid as Sigmund Freund but is sadly underused, and Keira Knightley proves she can act (but maybe can't nail a Russian accent 100% of the time) as one of Jung's patients.
