Review of A Dangerous Method (2011) by Jorge D — 09 Aug 2012
While not completely failed - largely due to the excellent cast - "A Dangerous Method" is not up to the last two great works of David Cronenberg "A History of Violence" and "Eastern Promises.".
It lacks the forcefulness and visual rhetoric, which is the highlight of this cameraman.
Thus, it is impossible to avoid some disappointment with the end result of this production;Â based mainly on dialogue;Â and seeks only to expose the theory and practice of psychoanalysis in its early days;Â through the relationship between its two greatest exponents, Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
