Review of A Dangerous Man (2009) by Amilcar A — 27 Feb 2010
Steven Seagal is really angry and I'm not sure if it's because he's super fat and old or because his movies now go straight to video. Either way, since they are all the same if you liked his earlier "work" you will like a dangerous man.
SS is an ex-military, special forces, mega-bad-ass that gets sent to jail over a crime he didn't commit. He spends six years behind bars, looks just as fat as when he was incarcerated but he does have some hilarious fantasied about his stripper wife dancing for him topless. Uncontrollable laughter #1.
When he comes out he's driving around Bellingham WA (why, please don't ask) where he witnesses a crime and gets involved. Prior to this he fucks up a couple of dudes really bad. In his attempt to save the day he befriends a kid who is the son of a Russian gangster from East Bellingham. Uncontrollable laughter #2.
In the process he also finds a Chines girl stuck in the middle of the mess. She's trying to save her uncle who is in the hands of Chinese military mafia.
Suddenly, there is a war between Russians & Chinese & Steven Seagal in the middle of the Pacific Northwest. Uncontrollable laughter #3.
Bottom line this is a total repetition of every SS movie you have every seen. That said the butt kicking, extreme violence and poor acting are quite the rage.
Two thumbs up. Even if they are brachydactyly.
