Review of A Cure for Wellness (2017) by Dan D — 19 Feb 2017
A cure for wellness is one the most original films I have ever seen in a long time. This film shows many elements from Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese, from the shining and shutter Island. This film is partially based on shutter Island, I would suggest for viewers to see shutter Island then the cure for wellness. But I have to respect on the director, writer and cinematographer. Because this film is really beautiful to see. Don't give me wrong it is not a masterpiece, I am just a huge supporter for original films. A cure for wellness is a ok movie to see. Critics today are complaining about there's no originality in film, and they bombed the living hell out of this film, funny. I can understand that there's some parts in the film that doesn't make any sense whatsoever and doesn't need to be in the film, it is two hours and 30 minutes and I can understand that. I suggest that you should go and see the film of his originality and will directed cinematography and acting. I believe that this film will be a cult classic by its originality and cinematography, it was very beautiful and visually dropping.
