Review of A Conversation About Race (2009) by Barry D — 05 Jun 2011
Craig Bodeker's documentary takes us where many people don't really want to go -- to the unvarnished truth. He exposes the many myths of racism and opens our eyes to see that most of what we call racism today is simply a fallacy promulgated by the media and modern educational system.
He does this, not by personal commentary, but by interviewing people of all different races, asking for their views, and then asking for examples to back up the views that they hold. What happens in almost every case is a person discovered to have no real basis for the beliefs they hold to so tenaciously.
What also becomes very evident is the guilt so many white people have, not because of anything wrong that they have done, but simply by virtue of being white. This documentary is a real eye-opener.
