"The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentlemen" is considered to be the world's most unfilmable novel. What better way to make a movie out of it than to portray people having trouble trying to make it into a movie.
Steve Coogan is hilarious, and this was the best comedy of 2006. Like the best of British comedy, it's absurd and profound: this is what the snobs label intelligent comedy; and by god, is it ever!
