Review of A Cock and Bull Story (2005) by Tom M — 13 Oct 2007
Very clever and often quite amusing. I don't think the behind-the-scenes segments reflected the supposed connections as strongly as they could have. What I mean is that it never aptly captures the spirit of digression that seems to typify the book.
There are some suggestions, but they never seemed to go far enough. Still, I found it admirable and interesting. I do think they conveyed the notion that this book is perhaps unfilmable (as far as I'm concerned, a lot of the best books are), and watching this film just makes me want to read it more.
