Review of A Cock and Bull Story (2005) by Tomek S — 01 Nov 2010
'Essentially Unfilmable' becomes essentially not a plot; which works out well. We've seen the 'behind the scenes' /'film in a film' before, and this is so much better than Winterbottom's later bollocks efforts, like 'Nine Songs'.
I think it doesn't take the piss with Coogan as much as it could have, but then, I think in not totally making a cynical joke out of acting and actors, this is all the more effective for it. Very amusing.
Loved the cameos by a corpulent Stephen Fry.
