Review of A Cock and Bull Story (2005) by Noah Abraham G — 04 Nov 2012

It's essentially a movie within movie of trying to adapt what is allegedly an impossible novel to film. The moments with Brydon and Coogan ad-libbing there scenes together are really funny and there is one scene where Coogan puts a hot chestnut down his pants that had me in tears.

I admired Winterbottom's approach to this film but since I'm not familiar with the source material some of the additional would be humor was lost on me. If you like getting a look behind the lens and actors being able to deviate from the script and have fun with what they are doing this is a nice diversion from standard Hollywood studio comedic fare.
