Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Kendall G — 09 Sep 2013
Dark, twisted and funny. I remember the first time I was conned into sitting down and watching this: I was repulsed during the first half. The ethical questions of this tale started to make it a more engaging and interesting film to watch and I was happy I stayed with it.
Like the treatment destroyed Alex's love of Beethoven, this film's use of the delightfully innocent tune, "Singin' In The Rain", almost ruined that song for me too. Well-played, Kubrick.
