Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Miguel R — 26 Jul 2015
The film is an excellent classic piece of art that will have you caring for the protagonist even though he contains the characteristics that people want to avoid. Kubrick did an excellent job in showing the audience of the themes this film contains. Although this film's setting is familiar to everyone at this day and age, it still feels like a product of a generation that hasn't arrived yet.
At first, this film comes off as just a tale of a young teen performing criminal acts and brought to 'justice'. This film is not a feature that must be watched only once but an art that takes multiple viewings to enjoy and stick with you in the long run as Kubrick's or Burgess' message becomes more clearer to the audience.
