Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Jesse M — 20 Mar 2013
A interesting message that is muddled by it's extreme graphic images. But, that is essentially why people remember this movie at all. Which probably does the movie a disservice. If all they remember is the extreme content and not the message in the least, is it worth being remembered? I dunno.
McDowell turns in a fantastic and iconic performance, the beginning delivers on youth life quite well, but the film is missing the depth and resulting ambiguity that Kubrick normally wields.
