Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Colin F — 19 May 2013
To be honest the script is not brilliant, it drags abit in the second half of the movie, but what makes this film deserve five stars its the absolute brilliance of Malcolm Mcdowell as Alex, it really is utter bonkers but captivating performance.
The soundtrack is also one of my favourites of all time, am not into Classical music at all, but when it is fed through an early Synthesiser, it adds to the movies surreal futuristic quality. The film is one of Stanley Kubrick's best ever shot films, you can see allot of thought has gone into it.
I recommend watching the Blu-Ray version, I had seen the film a few times before, but felt I had not really seen it at all till I saw it on in HD.
