My view of human nature is inconsolably bleak, but even I don't buy A Clockwork Orange's over the top satire as anything but an exercise in fascistic indulgence. I appreciate the social commentary in it, but the characters are too unbelievable to make it work.
The movie requires a chronic suspension of disbelief to enjoy.
