Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Jesse Z — 11 Jul 2013
A Clockwork Orange is a really disturbing and totally off the wall movie, so that's how you know it's good. It's based off of the book of the same name, and the movie follows it very closely.
However, Mr. Kubrick's film making adds an extra layer of strangeness to the story, enhancing the film version in a different way. Due to the movie's age, I'm still a bigger fan of the book (A Clockwork Orange is VERY dated) but the movie is still worth a watch if you are in for a classic movie not for the faint of heart.
