Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Timothy J — 15 May 2014
A strange and disturbing film. Considered to be a cult classic. A prophetic look at youth violence and its dehumanizing effect. An interesting look at the megalomaniacal central character who has no remorse.
This film is prophetic in the picture of a megalomaniacal personality who many researchers in the field believe that these people are "wired" genetically to be violent and lack empathy. These researchers believe that rapist and murders and people who cause the physical pain of others can never be reformed.
Perhaps that is true.
