Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Vitor A — 22 May 2016
There are three main reasons why this film gets so many stars from so many people: 1 - Stanley Kubrick. 2 - It was made in 1971 (what a shock it must have been!) and 3 - Stars attract stars... I decided to save my 5th star for Fellini or Pasolini, and rate this movie for what it is, rather than for when it was made and how shocking it was for it's time: A Clockwork Orange is, without a doubt, a very interesting and irreverent piece of artwork, but like the Mona Lisa, it's just not a Masterpiece (or maybe I simply didn't get it.
..).
