Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Robin W — 07 Apr 2013
This odd dystopian masterpiece by Stanley Kubrick really captures the viewers attention at once with the opening milk bar scene. It then proceeds with a mind-blowing silhouette shot and continues on with twenty minutes of intense "ultraviolence".
Basically everything in this film is flawless Malcolm McDowell´s brilliant acting, the insane plot, the astonishing surroundings. Another genius idea was using the "Nadsat" slang from the novel which is done in perfect quantity and really adds to the tone of the film.
A must see movie for every cinephile.
