Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Isadore H — 11 Dec 2016
An incredibly disturbing film that is as thought-provoking as it is strange. Insane acting by the Alex character, he managed to be both cruel and yet oddly charming, like in a joker sort of way. The extreme usage of colors made the film look and feel like it was set in a similar alternate dimension.
Filled with great themes and enough style for any blockbuster picture today, and yet the deep meanings behind the film rang through to me very clearly. A masterpiece, and an incredible ending make this an all time classic that holds up beautifully today.
