Tour de force performance from Malcolm McDowell creating an anti-hero as charming and devious as Henry the Eighth in one of the most controversial, visually stunning films of Stanley Kubrick's illustrious career.
The fable of government control over society, the savagery of male culture and the morale implications allow this movie to shed any SNUFF film category that a conservative audience will no doubt brand upon it.
In addition to being shocking, and intellectually engaging, the film also manages to have poignant humor that had me cracking up more that any Hollywood drivel they put out every weekend. The fact a studio made this is amazing enough, today no major studio would take a film this extreme and allow it to be nationally released.
Enjoy this one real horror show my little droogies.
