Review of A Clockwork Orange (1971) by Amanda C — 08 Feb 2015
Kubrick's twisted masterpiece holds up. The extreme violence might look tame by today's standards, but it's the juxtaposition between the mundane and the innocent that creates a dissonance that is facinating and unsettling, like a train wreck that you just can't tear your eyes away from.
Horrific and compelling in equal measure.
