Review of A Civil Action (1998) by Øystein E — 22 Jun 2009
An enjoyable courtroom drama. The movie is based on a true story and is told in interesting form. That is what is best about A Civil Action the way it is shot and edited makes it a lot more interested.
The cuts between people explaining while the act is going is nice and the multiple endings help you realize just how empty the character felt but he still pursued his feelings. Robert Duvall was nominated for an oscar for his role and I believed he deserved because of just how he portrayed the lawyer.
He was just so unlikable and he did not appear to care at all. His emotions were so calm and cool. Overall, A great courtroom drama with a great cast that I enjoyed a lot.
