Review of A Cinderella Story (2004) by Marina N — 12 Jun 2012

I watched it a boring weekend because there was nothing more interesting on. I was way too old for the targeted age group. Probally would have really enjoyed this cinderella adaptation if I was something like 12 years old.

These days, I find it hard to find a movie that is actually PG and that I would recomment to kids. This one doesn't really bring unexpected twists - I mean we all know that basic story of cinderella - but it manages to include relatable characters and a few laughs (particularly Jennifer Coolidge) that really add up to a decent modern fairytale.

Hilary Duff tale certainly fits the lead character well and somehow I would rather prefer kids to go nuts for her as opposed to Selena Gomez or Myley Cyrus.
