I can honestly agree with TalkingPictures' Tony Toscano. "A Cinderella Story" is a fan movie. It is to Hilary Duff fans what Elvis movies were to that fan-base in the 1960's. It may satisfy that demographic, but it will bore average film watchers.
The producers and screenwriter could have easily made a better concept and more challenging storyline if they put just a little more effort into it. Unfortunately, they just had to stick with the cliched and played-out formula.
