Review of A Christmas Story (1983) by Jason W — 04 Dec 2010
Remember Christmas as a child. The excitement and hysteria that shackled all the kids around. "A Christmas Story" perfectly captures that feel about a boy and his gun. Little Ralphie has a dead obsession with a red ryder model range air riffle.
It permeates his thoughts and dreams. His hopes are dashed by every adult he knows with the classic "You'll shoot your eye out" phrase (unsurpassable by every means in kiddom.) He tries every avenue to obtain his precious prize, with no luck.
A heartwarming tale of the holiday season and the relationship between a boy and his father. Hilarious, heartwarming and honest. A must have every year at Christmas. Now there is no excuse to pass this film by as it runs for 24 hours straight on cable.
Watch, I triple dog dare you!
