Review of A Christmas Story (1983) by D M — 25 Dec 2012
There are few casts in any realm of filmmaking that have ever rivaled the chemistry displayed by the Parker family and their neighbors in Ralphie's quest for a Red Ryder BB gun. The narration is over the top yet razor tight.
The film's use of fantasy a perfect recreation of a child's mind. And the ability of every actor to fill their performance with idiosyncrasies and seemingly spontaneous banter is what makes this a definitive holiday classic.
One for the ages.
