Absolutely one of my favorite movies ....Ever ! This is not just a great movie for Christmas ; I watch this one all year . One down side ....the acting is not great ; boarderline mediocre . It comes off on the verge of being genuine and the script doesn't have dialog that is equal to the plot or the characters themselves .
I would adore a remake with a much $$$$ budget . *Brendan Fehr gives the best performance in the movie .
