Review of A Christmas Carol (1984) by Sam L — 06 Dec 2008

I really love this story, so it's hard to be objective about the movie. George C. Scott is fabulous, of course, but most the other acting is wooden at best. Has great mood and period settings, lots of Dickensian Christmas surroundings.

For anyone out there who doesn't know the story, Scrooge is haunted by 3 ghosts who take him on a tour of his past, present and future, in order to help him reform. Scrooge's transformation at the end is definitely worth the wait.
