Review of A Christmas Carol (1984) by Josh K — 14 Dec 2008
Though many prefer the Alastair Sim version, I find Clive Donner's to be the best cinematic version of the Charles Dickens classic. George C. Scott emulates Ebenezer Scrooge with every scowl. With gorgeous sets filmed in England and a superb, British supporting cast, you can't pass this film up.
It's a must for any Christmas movie marathon.
