Review of A Charlie Brown Valentine (2002) by Dave C — 21 Jun 2007
Charlie Brown captures that part of us that can't live up to other's expectations. For everything that he tries to do he just always feels like a failure. He can never do anything right. This is what makes this classic comic strip character so appealing.
He is just so human and so vulnerable, and in fact there is so much depth and uniqueness to every single character. In the case of A Charlie Brown Valentine, what we get is the guy who just can never seem to get the girl, and who never feels attractive or wanted, and to that end this is probably one of the most relevant and real valentines stories you'll ever see.
