Review of A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) by Bradley B — 28 Nov 2018
When I watched this as a child, I especially loved the end, and the grounding of what it means to celebrate Christmas, which is to celebrate Christ's entrance into the world. However, many of the included parts that were taken from the comic strip are often not really related to Christmas or critiquing the commercialization of it, which was the overall purpose of the film.
As an adult, the jokes make a lot more sense, but it also is less entertaining. I still like the end, but it could have been much more enjoyable without the random "play" inserted.
