Review of A Certain Kind of Death (2003) by Jessica S — 13 Sep 2008
While some of the scenes are likely distasteful to many people, this movie really impressed upon me the scores of government employees whose jobs are to take care of the final details of peoples' lives, from making sure that assets are passed on appropriately (which can involve Sherlock Holmes-like investigation), to physically interring peoples' remains.
The complex system which manages these details is truly impressive, and I have respect for those who work in what I am sure is a relatively thankless field.
