Review of A Bug's Life (1998) by Curtis H — 30 Dec 2011
While it shines in conceptual and cinematic execution , "A Bug's Life" seems mediocre on its primary goal: to please children. The story, drawn from a line of iconic genre films (From "Seven Samurai" to "Magnificent Seven" to "Three Amigos" and finally into the hands of Pixar) is fresh and clever, and the art and technology used are groundbreaking.
The non-stop fun we've come to expect of most Pixar films is just not as present.
