A Bug's Life. Pixar's sophomore attempt at feature length films. And it was great. I may hate insects, but these ones were rather lovable, but not like Woody and Buzz. And once more, Pixar personifies something we see as small and/or insignificant.

Birds aren't dangerous to us, just annoying, but dangerous to bugs. Just like Toy Story, A Bug's Life is lovable because it takes viewers where humans have never been. It also fits the Pixar DNA, where there are subtile adult references with childish humor.

Let's not forget the John Ratzenberger role, this time in the form of a flea. In conclusion, A Bug's Life helped shape Pixar into what it is, and is a lovable movie like Toy Story, and all later Pixar movies, through infinity and beyond.
