Hopper is indeed one of the greatest Disney villains out there in my opinion. He does his best not to (literally) punch his brother Molt in the face yet at the same time is so ruthless, clever and DARK that you can't help to respect him. I mean good lord, half of his body is covered in scars from getting attacked by a King Kong sized bird, I'm surprised he's still alive! Yes, his history is actually hinted throughout the film, giving the idea that he is even more three dimensional of a character. Not to mention he has rabies infected psychoward as his attack dog.

However everything else about the film is just bland. Dot might be cute, the Queen is ok, the circus bugs offer some laughs and there are many different personalities in each character. Otherwise there's nothing to really like about the film, except how everything is small like how the toys in Toy Story are smaller than humans yet also exist in the human world. Flick is both bland and annoying, the princess is retarded, and some personalities are too one dimensional. The circus bugs can't stop goofing off in the heat of A WAR. Also like Cars, Bugslife relies too much on puns.

Overall this is one of the most forgettable of the Pixar films, but good God! Hopper was a great badguy!
