Review of A Bug's Life (1998) by Alasdair B — 06 Sep 2014
"Bugs Life" is a great Pixar film. It has the same memorable, funny quirky characters we normally see. Its the tale of a young aunt who is determined to find food for his colony. He won't let the ants me bullied any longer by the grasshoppers.
The film has a charming voice cast, and decent animation. Its one of the earliest Pixar films outside of Toy Story. While its a great movie, it isn't hart warming or touching. The film is somewhat memorable, but its not remarkable. Most of this lies with the plot. The story is somewhat weak in this one. You feel entertained while watching it, but you find yourself wanting more than what is presented.
In the end, "Bugs Life" is a classic and has all the great things you could want in a Pixar film. Just not that great of a story.
