Review of A Bug's Life (1998) by Anthony A — 25 Nov 2013
Flik is an inventor who inadvertantly knocks over the harvest meant for a group of bandits and thus needs to double the colony's harvest to make up for it. He instead comes up with an idea to get a group of warriors to help him battle the bandits. He finds some circus workers doing an act and mistakes them for warriors. He brings them back and they plan to create a bird to scare the bandits away. Eventually the colony discovers they aren't who they thought they were and Flik feels bad for it. But you know what's going to happen anyways.
The animation was impressive, an improvement over Toy Story since it came later. However, the film isn't quite as good as Toy Story, it's ok, just not as great as other Pixar films.
