Review of A Bronx Tale (1993) by Sulaiman A — 28 Jan 2013
I truly do not understand why people love this movie so much. As a stage production, I understand. This movie feels like Goodfellas "lite." The only real acting came from DeNiro and the residents of "Webster Avenue.
" The lead was awkward and unbelievable, the scenes were either shot or edited in a way that looked like everyone was just waiting to say their lines and the implementation of the music, while music everyone would enjoy, was uninspired.
This is a movie to watch when you stumble onto it late night on tv and you have exhausted your DVD collection. The worst part about this movie is that it has so much wasted potential. It truly could have been something aspiring directors would like to emulate.
