Review of A Bridge Too Far (1977) by Chris S — 04 Sep 2007
Pre-dating 'Saving Private Ryan' by some 20 plus years, this is the first film to attempt, and in my opinion succeed, to represent war realistically. However unlike 'Ryan' the story is historically accurate.
After watching it, I am always left feeling incredibly indebited to the ordinary people that gave their lives to rid our world of a true evil.
