Review of A Bridge Too Far (1977) by Ryan H — 14 Feb 2008
The greatest WWII film ever crafted. An impressive array of well-known actors, none of which truly steal the scene away from the overall plot of Market Garden, complement the tragic nature of the film.
There's something to be said for the only WWII movie in history to end on a note of tragedy for the Allies and victorious jubilation for the Nazi war machine. In short - something you don't see a whole lot of.
