Review of A Bridge Too Far (1977) by Teppo S — 27 Apr 2010
Great example of a War movie, not displaying (as too many do) any of the apparent heroism or "glory" of war, but instead focusing on the regular disaster, confusion, frustration and tragedy of conflict.
And the sheer amount of luck it takes for a complex military op to come off. A superb cast and great mise en scene and cinematography make this film further worth the modest sum of the DVD.
