Review of A Bridge Too Far (1977) by Michael A — 23 Mar 2008
This isn't one of the WWII movies I refer to very often but it still holds some weight with some stunning visuals and an embarrassingly talented roster of actors. It has shades of humour and also moments of helplessness for some of it's many protagonists, and Attenborough ensures that the script is tight despite the running time of almost 3 hours.
A though-provoking tale of a failed mission. In a word, classy.
