Review of A Boy Called Dad (2009) by Simon D — 10 Sep 2010
Another Brittish success. It's odd how we excel in making the same type of film, let's be honest they are not usually a barrell of laughs. They always seem to a bit depressing. Often a troubled family in a rainy part of the North but they are also often damn good stories with highly underrated actors, like this one.
They beat the spots off all the stupid cockney gangster/hooligan movies that seem to be churned out one after the other.
