Review of A Boy and His Dog (1975) by Kevin R — 12 Dec 2010
Probably the only buddy movie, where one of the buddies is a talking dog, that isn't totally lame. Follows these two characters through a post apocalyptic world where food and women (apparently) are scarce.
The dog (blood) provides Vic with women, and Vic provides the dog (Blood) with food. All is going well until Vic meets a woman who lures him into a squeky clean pseudo utopia. They have definent plans for them there, where he is to impregnate the women there, as the men that live there have been underground too long and they can't impregnate their women themselves.
When it becomes clear that the people in this underworld have no plans in keeping him around after he is no longer necassary to them he must escape. Best ending ever that put a big smile on my face, and a pretty intresting and unique concept.
Recommended for dystopian Sci Fi fans, and dark comedy enthusiasts.
