Review of A Bottle in the Gaza Sea (2011) by Lazara C — 11 Jul 2013
'A Bottle in the Gaza Sea' is about finding friendship and perhaps even love attraction between two older teens. Even though their is a conflict between the places that they live and the current war that is going on.
It both affects them in some way, specially Tal who tries to find answers on why certain things are happening. They still find a way to support each other, him learning French so his able to get out of his hometown while she supports him learning French so his able to expand himself more and leave a hostile place but perhaps for them to meet each other one day.
The ending, does explain a connection between them so who knows if they truly meet in France.
