Review of A Bigger Splash (2015) by Dcmain — 20 Feb 2017
I am inclined to like Swinton and Fiennes, and their performances were indeed fine in this film, but the film offers little else. The plot is thin at best, there's something political thrown in at the end without purpose, the soundtrack is frequently distracting, and the constant nudity serves no purpose as it drives little sexual tension.
If it were 40 minutes shorter it might have felt like its actual running time. As it is, it felt like 3 wasted hours. Hard pass.
